The Hermannsburg Heritage Precinct consists of 16 remaining buildings and a
cemetery on 2.5 hectares of land, that are protected under the NT Heritage
Conservation Act 1991, as well as being on the National Heritage List. Hermannsburg Heritage Precinct is accessible along sealed road from Alice
Springs (approximately 125 km).
Activities for visitors include visiting the first Aboriginal Mission, see the old mission
buildings, tour the Hermannsburg Watercolour Gallery, buy local Aboriginal art
including paintings, pottery,
souvenirs and Namatjira prints, and enjoy some refreshment in the Kata Anga Tea
Rooms. |
