Visitors going to or leaving Uluru and Kings Canyon will no doubt see
this spectacular rock formation, as they travel along the Lasseter Highway.
There is a Lasseter Highway lookout, approximately 11 km east of Curtin Springs
where you can stop for a break and photo shoot.
A 700 million-year-old
sand and rock mesa, that lies in a straight line with Uluru and Kata Tjuta,
Mt Connor is a strangely forgotten mountain that is part of the same rock
formation that stretches underground and includes both Uluru and the
domes of Kata Tjuta.
Approximately 115 km east of Uluru, Mount Connor is located on the
western fringe of the huge, working Curtin Springs cattle station. Although
located on private property, it is accessible via tours from Curtin Springs.
