Each year between May and October, the Territory, as part of their Territory Parks Alive program, runs a series of free guided walks, talks and slide shows in the parks and reserves across the Territory. The activities provide the opportunity to experience the natural wonders of the area, learn about desert and local cultures, and hear stories from the past.

The program provides Rangers an opportunity to get to know their visitors and pass on some of their professional knowledge and some of their personal experiences in managing the parks. They can also give give visitors a few tips about other places to visit nearby.

Whether you are a local or a tourist, here is your chance to find out more about the nature of this wonderful Territory. Contact the local visitors centre or check the NT Parks & Wildlife website for further information.

Territorian Pass for Wildlife Park
The Territory Passes for Wildlife Park now provide Territorian unlimited access to the Territory Wildlife Park. This annual passes commences from the date of purchase with prices based on the following categories: adult, child, student, concession, seniors, economy (family), super-economy (family), and NT Schools (primary and secondary).

This provides locals an inexpensive way to visit the Territory Wildlife Park as many times as they want throughout the year.

Once you purchase the pass, you need to provide this with a photo ID each time you visit.

This service is now provided by organisations within the community that continue to work closely with the Parks and Wildlife Service. There are around 250 carers throughout the entire Northern Territory covering the arid zone to the tropics.
