Located in west Europe, Belgium is bordered by Germany and the Grand Duchy of
Luxembourg to the east, France in the south west, the Netherlands to the north,
and the North Sea in the north-west. The country is divided into ten provinces
and the capital region. The provinces are listed below. There are three main
communities in Belgium along language, the Flemish community, and the French and
German speaking community. The country itself can be divided into three regions,
Brussels is mainly Dutch and French speaking. The Flemish region that includes
Antwerp, Limburg, East Flanders, Flemish Brabant and West Flanders are mainly
Dutch speaking. Wallonia that includes Hainaut, Liège,
Luxembourg, Namur and Walloon Brabant are mainly French speaking.
