Fiji is located in the South Pacific Ocean and part of an island group
comprising 332 islands of which some 100 plus are inhabited by humans, with the
rest left as nature reserves. The two major islands in the group are known as
Viti Levu and Vanua Levu with almost 80 percent of the population living on
these two islands. The major towns include Greater Suva, Lautoka, Nadi, Labasa and Ba.
Fiji enjoys a tropical marine style climate with slight seasonal temperature
variation, although it can experience cyclonic storms during November to
January. |
