South Africa is a diverse country with exotic landscapes offering visitors an
unique experience of history, culture and people. Located on the southern tip of
the African continent, it is bordered by the northern neighbours of Namibia,
Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. It also encompasses the independent mountain
kingdoms of Lesotho and Swaziland and is flanked by the Atlantic Ocean on the
west and the Indian Ocean on the east.
South Africa enjoys a temperate climate, with warm sunny days most of the
year. The seasons are opposite to those of the northern hemisphere, with summer
period being November to February, when most of the country weather is hot,
often with afternoon thunderstorms. Winters are generally mild and dry. There are nine provinces in South Africa
