Turkey is located across Europe and Asia, extending into south eastern Europe
(the part of Turkey west of the Bosporus is geographically part of Europe) and
south western Asia. It also borders the Black Sea, between Bulgaria and Georgia,
the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, between Greece and Syria. It also
shares borders with Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iraq and Iran. The present day Turkey
was created in 1923 from the Turkish remnants of the Ottoman Empire. It is made
