One of the great tourism frontiers for travellers, explorers and
adventurers is Antarctica, Earth's southernmost continent. Located in the
Antarctic region of the Southern Hemisphere, it is home to the geographic South
Pole. This remote region is popular with tourist seeking an experience that is
different and memorable.
The Southern Ocean supports and is home to range of unique wildlife. One of
the most amazing are the whales that inhabit this region. There are a number of
species that include the Blue whale, Killer whale, Minke whale, Fin whale, Sei
whale, Humpback whale and the Southern Right whale. These amazing creatures
provide a great treat when encountered on your ocean tour.
