Dunelm House Bed And Breakfast
• BARGARA in QLD, Bundaberg & Gladstone
Just four hours North of Brisbane and 3.5km from Bargara is Dunelm House, a
restored cane farmers residence, sitting high above the surrounding cane fields.
The three guest rooms are air-conditioned, with queen beds and private ensuites.
Relax by the solar heated pool, in the guest lounge, or, on the front veranda
after a day of touring or business. Come and see the turtles laying or hatching
at Mon Repos (November - March) it is only a 5 minutes drive away. We are close
to three golf courses, a bowls club and shops and restaurants.
Bargara is located at the bottom of the Great Barrier Reef, Lady Musgrave and
Lady Elliot Island tour departure points are nearby. If you like to swim,
snorkle or surf, our beaches are ideal for these activities, visit Elliot Heads
and watch the Kite Surfers and Sailboarders in action.
Relax and have a barbeque beside our heated salt water pool, or recline on the
lounge and watch AUSTAR TV, read a magazine or listen to some music. A full
cooked breakfast is served at the dinning table, tea and coffee is available at
all times. With our local knowledge we can assist with your touring plans, we
can also help with interstate travel plans.
We welcome cyclists, the area around the B&B is reasonably flat, and some great
day trips can be made using Dunelm House as a base. For those coming by car,
undercover offstreet parking is provided, we even wash your windscreen.
Summer is a busy time when Bundaberg and Bargara are alive with holidaymakers,
in the Winter when it it is still pleasantly warm (20c)the place becomes
quieter, but still heaps to see and do. We hope to see you on your next visit to
Bundaberg and Bargara.

The famous Bundaberg Rum Distillery
Turtle watching (Nov-Mar)
Bundaberg Brewed drinks the makers of Ginger Beer and other great drinks,
Hinkler House, the home of the famous aviator Bert Hinkler who was the first man
to fly solo from the UK to Australia
Cania Gorge, great bush walking
Take a trip on the Burnett River on the Bundy Bell, great commentary about the
area, see the Port of Bundaberg and the three marinas.
Take a trip to the Great Barrier Reef, Lady Musgrave or Lady Elliot Islands,
enjoy snorkelling and reef walks, see turtles, Manta Rays, and great marine
life.
Swim and surf at one of our many stinger free beaches,
Play golf on one of the three local golf courses,
Travel down to Hervey Bay during the Whale Watching season (1.5hr drive)
Marvel at the secrets of Mystery Craters or visit the Town of 1770, plus a lot
more.

Pets permitted. Outdoor Pets permitted.
A large (4 mtr x 1.5 mtr x 1.4 mtr with half enclosed and the rest surrounded by
wire) kennel is provided outside and is suitable for medium to large dogs, sorry
no animals inside.
