Childers is a small historic cane growing town located on the Bruce Highway and is the southern gateway to the Bundaberg region. Once one of Queensland's most prosperous towns of yesteryear, the town is famed for its historic buildings and Leopard Tree’s (Caesalpinea ferrea) that line the main street.
