Located in the
Sunshine Coast Hinterland region, Beerwah is just south of
Glasshouse Mountains, a group of ten hills that rise up from the coastal plains
of the Sunshine Coast, of which the highest is Mount Beerwah at 556 m above sea
Beerwah is one of a number of towns located along the Glasshouse
Mountain tourist route that also include Beerburrum, Glass House Mountains,
Landsborough, Peachester and Mooloolah. Beerwah is also on the edge of the
Range and ideally positioned to a number of attractions in the region.
With the renaming of the Glasshouse Mountain Tourist Route (off the Bruce
Highway) to that of the Steve Irwin Way, one of the main attraction in the town
and region is that of Australia Zoo.
