Settled in 1924 the prosperous town of Biloela has a diverse
industrial base of mostly agricultural products such as
cotton, wheat, herbs and spices. It is also home to a large
cattle growing industry and coal mining to feed the Callide
power stations nearby.
The Callide Coalfields site offers
spectacular views over the coal pit where you can see one of
the largest draglines in the world in operation.
Part of the Banana Shire
located in Central Queensland and part of the Capricorn Coast, today Biloela is
a modern town with all visitor facilities and amenities.
