An old pastoral property of 85,000 ha turned National Park,
Bladensburg is home to a huge variety of semi desert plants
and animals. Bladensburg National Park is typified by vast plains of Mitchell
and Flinders grasses, mesas and plateaus. Isolated
billabongs and aboriginal sacred sites are preserved here
too. The original Bladensburg homestead has been restored
for use as the Information Centre. Scenic drives throughout
the park are popular with visitors, camping is permitted at
Bough Shed Hole however permits must be obtained from the
Bladensburg Homestead before hand. Water is not supplied
within the park so food and drink must be brought in.
