Heart of the Fassifern
A must see location for lovers of the great outdoors,
Boonah is within shouting distance of several National Parks all
of which make for great bushwalking and day trips, or picnics
and just relaxing amongst the gum trees.
Located in the heart of the Scenic Rim, Boonah is the administrative centre of Boonah Shire and
the largest town with all facilities and recreation
activities one could expect. The town itself is remarkable
for the large number of timber homes all nestled amongst the
hills and first established in 1882 as a vegetable growing
area due to its rich soils and proximity to the Brisbane
markets.
