Main areas of interest include the historic World War II fortifications, aboriginal middens, melaleuca swamps, wallum heath, wetlands and beaches. Please note the area is home to many species of biting insects take your insect repellent.

Pumicestone Passage separates the island from the mainland and is included in the Moreton Bay Marine Park please check for permitted activities in this area and for any fishing restrictions.
 

Open fires on island national parks or beaches are not permitted.

NB: Campsites at Bribie Island can book out well in advance. Please ensure you have a confirmed booking with the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service  before entering the national park.
