Promoted as Manly Harbour Village the
Brisbane suburb of Manly is located south of
Brisbane River, overlooks the picturesque
Moreton Bay and
the largest man-made marina on the east coast of Australia. Just 20 km from
Brisbane Central Business District, the village atmosphere is made all the more
charming with its mix of shops, galleries and places to eat, set against a
backdrop of boats, yachts, sails and islands. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely
stroll along the Esplanade, relax and enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants,
soaking up the sun and the sea breeze.
As well as the Moreton Bay Classic fishing competition, a number of popular
sailing events are also held throughout the bay, some starting from the Manly
Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron.

St Helena Island is located just 7 km north-east of Manly, with regular ferry
