• A village in the making
continuing as an ongoing project, and with over 70 buildings of
historical significance, across 4 ha. Fun for the whole family including
miniature train, licensed bush pub, tea rooms, wagon rides, woodcraft and craft
shops, village potter, as well a number of museums. Advisable to allow at least
a minimum of 3 hours.

Closed Christmas day, Boxing day and Good Friday
• The museum was established to
preserve and present part of the nation's aviation history with a focus on WWII
aircraft. There is an extensive collection of memorabilia that include engines,
static displays, photographic displays, military hardware and aircraft. All
aircraft are restored to flying condition, performing regularly at aviation
events. Displays include a P51 Mustang, Wirraways, Winjeel and a Russian MiG
17.

Medieval Tournament

Museum of Art & Archaeology
• July
• The museum hosts its famous
Medieval Tournament. Thousands of people flock to watch the colourful spectacle
of jousting, mock combats, archery, dancing, music, crafts, living history
encampments and live theatre. The two-day event opens with a Grand Parade of
re-enactment groups from all over Australia and closes with a mighty castle
siege. Stained glass tours of the Abbey Church run at designated times dur9ing
the event.
