Just south of Gladstone lies this small but impressive
Castle Tower National Park with large granite outcrops and the main feature being
Mount Castle Tower itself. It is a difficult climb to the mountain top,
but those who persevere will be rewarded with views over the
Boyne Valley with Gladstone in the distance.
There are no
dedicated camp grounds within the park however you can camp
there providing you acquire a permit first. No water or
other facilities are provided in the park.
