One of the best known islands that cater for the entire family and children aged
between 6 and 12 years old. It’s a friendly relaxed place and offers a variety of activities including golf,
tennis, water skiing, kayaking parasailing, horse riding, and
bushwalking. Dunk Island also has its own airstrip for access by air
from Cairns or Townsville. Dunk Island is part of
the Family Islands group, a collection of continental islands located about
mid-way between Cairns and Townsville, in an area most of which has been
designated as a national park and is the largest island in the Family Islands
National Park.
