Located about 27 km east of Longreach
on the Landsborough Capricorn Hwy (Matilda Hwy) is the small outback town of
Ilfracombe. With a shire that covers an area of over 6,500 sq km and a shire
population of about 385, with more than half living in the township, it is a
great place to visit and provides that a taste of the unique Outback of
