Gateway to the
Carnarvon National Park
Located in the Western Downs district
between Roma and Rolleston, Injune is the southern Gateway to the
National Park. The largest town in the Bungil Shire, the town got its name from
the railway siding (named Injune Creek).
Injune is a clean, quiet town and an ideal base from which to experience the
surrounding region. Nestled in the Great Dividing Range, the climate ranges from
cold crisp winters to hot summers, offering perfect autumn and spring weather.
