Kenilworth - Cities, Towns and Localities

Kenilworth is a small town located in the beautiful upper Mary Valley Country, and one of the Sunshine Coast hinterland towns.

Originally surveyed off Kenilworth Station in 1921, the small town, with a population of less than 300, retains its 1920's atmosphere, with its tree lined main street, clean air, country setting, acclaimed local artists and gallery, there is plenty to see and do within the region.

Kenilworth & District Historical Association Inc - Museum

• Open Sundays 10 am-3 pm; tour groups of 10 or more by prior arrangement. Small fee applies.
• Housed in 3 well maintained buildings, with exhibits that include tools of trade, fully working machinery, household items, a working telephone exchange which has been linked to other historical equipment throughout the museum, photograph collection showing early families in everyday life since the district was first settled, fully working theatrette including the projection equipment from all uses of cinemaphotography.
Fig Tree Walk at Little Yabba Creek
• This is a sealed, wheelchair-accessible track on the banks of the Mary River near Little yabba Creek Rest Area on the Maleny-Kenilworth Road, about 4 km from Kenilworth. At Charlie Moreland camping area, one toilet is wheelchair-accessible.

• A working deer farm just 16 km from Kenilworth. The park has modern amenities, an under cover area, BBQs and friendly hosts. Also camping and caravan facilities.
