The picturesque Mary Valley is a patchwork of pineapple plantations, grazing
properties and macadamia farms and home to a number of quaint towns.
Highlights in the region include Lake Borumba, 11 km from Imbil, a popular spot
for water skiing, boating, fishing and camping and Bellbird Habitat, protecting
a colony of these beautiful birds in their natural habitat.
The scenic Imbil Forest Drive guides you 14 km through Imbil State Forest,
taking in a lookout with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. There
is the weekly Imbil Markets held every Sunday from 9am, coinciding with the
Valley Rattler Train. The Amamoor State Forest hosts the National Country Music
Muster during the last weekend of August each year.
