Four rugged and isolated volcanic peaks make up this park
of only 926 ha and protecting some of the last remnants of
the Fassifern Scrub in the Mt French section. This section
would have to be the most spectacular and well known
especially amongst rock climbers. It is made up of large
sheer cliff faces perfect for rock climbers and providing
fabulous views of the surrounding countryside.
sections Mt Greville, Mt Edwards, and Mt Moon all surround
the Moogerah Dam. The Mt French section is the only one to
have some rudimentary visitor facilities including a lookout
and campsite that is accessible to bushwalkers. Mt Moon is
only accessible via a private property, permission must be
obtained by the owner of this property to travel through to
Mt Moon. Once you get here you will be confronted by steep
cliffs and a huge crevice that splits the mountain in two.
Only for the experienced bushwalker.
