Redcliffe - Cities, Towns and Localities
With its sub-tropical climate, the picturesque seaside city of Redcliffe is nestled on the edge of Moreton Bay, on a peninsula south of Deception Bay, with Redcliffe just 35 km north of Queensland’s capital city of Brisbane.

As the site of Queensland’s first European settlement in 1824, it is today a thriving coastal centre. With its 22 km of beautiful coastline, sandy beaches and scenic parks, other attractions include Moreton Bay, Hays Inlet and the Glasshouse Mountains. Redcliffe is also the departure point for the Southern Bay Islands of Moreton Bay. There are regular ferry and barge services departing from Redland Bay and services Russell, Lamb, Macleay and Karragarra Islands.

Today, the region attracts visitors not only for the aquatic activities, but live theatre, museums, galleries, markets, heritage and history.
