Located in the beautiful region of the Whitsundays, Long Island is mostly a
national park with over 20 km of walking tracks that take in the natural dense
bush land, lead to fantastic lookouts and wonderful secluded beaches. There
are a range of water sport activities including parasailing, catamaran sailing,
jet skiing, glass bottom water bikes, and fishing. With a coral reef just 150
metres offshore, there is some great snorkelling.
The island boasts a couple of resorts, offering a choice of accommodation for
those wanting to get away from it all.
Paradise Bay is located at the southern end of Long Island, and is only
accessible by air for those booking into the private accommodation, which caters to a
limited number of guests.
