Welcome to accommodation Coorong, South Australia (SA). Stretching from just beyond the northern gateway township
of
Meningie,
is the beautiful national park known as The Coorong,
stretching 145 km along the south-east coast of South
Australia.
The park begins at the mouth of the River Murray,
with the Lakes Alexandrina and Albert, that are comprised of
fresh to saline waters. The park extends to
include the whole of the Younghusband Peninsula (145 km) and The Coorong, including
Woods Well, Policemans Point and Salt Creek. The region
separate a series of saline lagoons from the Southern Ocean. The park is accessed via the Princes Highway from
the northern end via Meningie or the southern end via
Kingston SE.
