The Flinders Ranges rises from the northern end of Spencer Gulf, in the east of South Australia, and runs north for 800 km. It is a fantastic area for bushwalking, flora and fauna, and soaking up the ever-changing colours of the outback. The mountains in the north are hemmed in by barren salt lakes.
