Bay is a small township that is popular destination during the holiday periods.
The gateway to the Innes National Park, Marion Bay offers a range of activities,
including both sheltered swimming beaches and a surf beach. It is also popular
for fishing either from your boat, jetty, beach, rock and surf fishing.
The region experiences south-easterly high winds during the summer months,
and the best time to visit is around the period from March to May, when the
winds die down and the sea is more calm. Summer months can be very hot, whilst
winters are bitterly cold.
