Mungerannie is a perfect watering hole attracted by a pub filled with characters, and an artesian bore that attracts some 140 bird species. Lying at the junction of four deserts — Sturt’s Stony, Tirari, Simpson and Strzelecki, the pub provides fuel, refreshments and overnight accommodation, including campsites beside the permanent waterhole known as the Derwent River.
