Deep Creek Conservation Park - Cities, Towns and Localities
Being the largest remaining foothold of native vegetation on the Fleurieu Peninsula this 4,500 hectare park is a key natural asset for this part of South Australia and a key habitat for many native species of flora and fauna which rely on the park to provide a protected environment for them to live in.

There are some 400 native plant species, 110 bird species, 11 mammals, and countless reptiles, and native insects. The famous Mount Lofty Ranges Southern Emu Wren calls this park home, with some 200 individuals living here, making this the largest colony of these very rare and endangered birds. The Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo uses the park as a nesting area and the very rare Glossy Black Cockatoo has been seen in here too.

With easy access from Victor Harbor, and just 11 km east of Cape Jervis, within the park are spectacular cliffs that front onto Encounter Bay and the Great Australian Bight. With views across Backstairs Passage to the popular Kangaroo Island, the park offers a number of walks ranging from easy to hard.

Camping fees are required to camp in the park. Entry fees are also payable and all monies go toward the upkeep of the park, the walking tracks and other visitor facilities. Camping places are limited to first in best dressed. Bookings are not taking so get in early during the peak visitor seasons.
