Lyndoch - Cities, Towns and Localities

Jenke Winery - Barossa Valley

In the south of the Barossa Valley lies Lyndoch one of the oldest towns in South Australia first established in 1839. In fact Colonial William Light the founder of Adelaide named the location in honour of his mate Lord Lyndoch in 1837 on one of his first surveying expeditions.

The town today has a population of over 1,000 people and is surrounded by a huge variety of famous wineries, including some not so well known but which produce some of the most magnificent wines.
