The City of Port Adelaide Enfield is one of the largest metropolitan councils
within South Australia and is rich in history and culture.
Extending from the
River Torrens to Outer Harbor, covering some 97 square km, the City is a popular
destination with some of the state's finest historical buildings and landmarks,
beautiful parks, and a wealth of cultural and recreational facilities.
first stop should be the Port Adelaide Visitor Information Centre. Located in a
heritage-listed building, which originally housed the Customs, Courts and Police
Station, the Port Adelaide Visitor Information Centre consists of three
exhibition rooms with interpretative displays, public-access computers and an
extensive selection of tourist brochures and maps.
