The Dalhousie Springs is the largest and the main
thermal spring in the Witjira National Park. Fed by thermal water from the
Great Artesian Basin, the spring has a temperature of between 34 to 38 degrees,
and provides a popular recreational break for travellers from around the world..
Located on the
western edge of the Simpson Desert, Dalhousie Springs is frequented by 4 wheel
drive clubs and travellers, doing the outback circuit through Oodnadatta,
