• Accommodation: self-contained convict built cottages with log fires. Accommodation include Officer’s Quarters, Overseer’s Quarters, and the Mess Hall, suitable for weddings and functions.
• Details: Cascade was established in 1841 as an out-station of Port Arthur penitentiary 15 km away. Up to 400 prisoners were employed here, constructing the various buildings and toiling in the forests cutting timber. The property has been owned by the Clark family since 1915 and guests are free to wander around the buildings and farm.
