Scenic Low Head is just 6 km north of
George Town, located on the eastern mouth of the Tamar River.
Attractions in the region include Low Head Historic Precinct, with the historic
buildings, maritime museum and lighthouse. Lagoon Bay is a popular swimming location during
summer.
With a penguin rookery adjacent to the lighthouse, visitors can attend the
evening penguin tours.
