As well as the prominent rock outcrop, Stanley and the Circular Head is a great
scenic region for a drive with plenty of opportunities for stopping for a break
and a photo opportunity. The top of the ‘Nut’ offers great views and although
it can be climbed via a steep ascent, many people take the easier option of the
chairlift. Be warned that the top can be windy, and in winter is cold, so take
your coats, but it is definitely worth the trip to the top, with views over the
