Ida Bay Railway
• 328 Lune River Rd, LUNE RIVER TAS 7109
• Ph: 03 6298 3110 • Mobile: 0428 383 262 • Email
• This original railway is the only original railway in existence and Australia’s most southern train ride. There are relics of the limestone carrying days in the form of wagons and machinery. Several of the passenger carriages are built on bogie flat wagons built in the 1890s - some of the earliest bogie wagons in Australia.

The company livery is red and the line is over 7 kms long, so please allow 2 hours for the return trip.
Cockle Creek
• The most southerly point able to be reached by road in Australia. It is from Cockle Creek that the magnificent south coast is able to be reached along a walking track. From the coast, the South Coast Track continues to Melaleuca, a 7 day walk along some of the wildest coastline in Australia.

For more information visit the Tasmania parks & Wildlife Service Southwest National Park. You can also check out the parks fact sheets for Cockle Creek (PDF 540 Kb).
