Located south
east of Geelong and part of the Great Ocean
Road region, the Bellarine Peninsula is connected by ferry from
Queenscliff
to Sorrento on the
Mornington Peninsula. Bellarine Peninsula is bordered by the
the Bass Strait to the south, The Rip at Port Phillip Heads to the east, Swan
Bay and Port Phillip Bay to the north. With the Barwon River running through the
western extremities, the Bellarine Peninsula has many towns and farming
communities that are popular destinations for many visitors. Towns and
villages include Barwon Heads, Connewarre, Bellarine, Breamlea. Clifton Springs,
Drysdale, Curlewis, Leopold, Mannerim, Marcus Hill, Murradoc, Ocean Grove,
Portarlington, Indented Head, Point Lonsdale, Queenscliff, St Leonards, Swan
