Bright is known as a town for all season, with tree-lined streets that provide summer shade and brilliant autumn colours. These trees were planted over 70 years ago, providing avenues of oak, liquid ambers, poplars and Japanese maple, that weaves a glorious autumn tapestry of gold and yellows, oranges and ruby reds, one of the highlights of the Bright Autumn Festival.

Come winter and snow on the surrounding mountains make Bright a popular winter holiday destination. From here you can have a choice of which mountain you want to ski, board or just enjoy the pleasures of a warm crackling fire.

Spring is when the rhododendrons, camellias, azaleas, dogwoods and magnolias burst into bloom, bringing locals and tourists into Bright for the big Springtime in Bright Festival.

In the warmth of the summer days, families and friends flock to the parks and river for picnics, barbeques and swimming. Other activities include fishing, paragliding, hang gliding, canoeing, rafting, cycling and 4WD.
