There is always something to do all year round. During summer you can swim or canoe on the St. George’s Lake or just paddle , picnic or pan for gold in the bubbling waters of Slaty Creek.

Autumn offers crisp morning air, warm balmy days and the glorious changing colours of the deciduous trees. The first weekend of April offers the fabulous Andersons Mill Food, Wine and Music Festival.
 

Winter brings us the smell of wood smoke from cosy log fires, as you relax tucked up inside one of the region’s bed and breakfast establishments.

Spring is a popular time for many, and welcomes the Creswick Forestry Fiesta, a celebration of the town’s rich forestry heritage.

The district has much to offer the visitor with open plains and the smell of the bush. There are a myriad of hamlets where you can find antique shops and wineries, as well as other family attractions. You can also marvel at the extinct volcanoes and the mullock heaps that stand as monument to our gold mining past.
