High in the Macedon Ranges, surrounded by eucalypt bushland and fern gullies
is Hepburn Springs and the adjoining town of Daylesford, only 110 km north of
Melbourne and known as the spa centre of Australia. Together, these two towns
produce half of Australia's known mineral springs, arising from a 450 million
year old volcanic basin. With at least 65 documented mineral springs scattered
throughout the region, many with hand pumps available for you to taste and enjoy
the thirst quenching waters. For additional attraction, tours and other information visit the
local tourism centre. For Hepburn Springs accommodation
