Offering something for everyone to enjoy, the Shire welcomes many thousands of visitors annually, who come to enjoy its world famous wine region and a step back into time of the Kelly Gang, whose passing is preserved in the Historic Towns Cultural Precinct of Beechworth.

The range of activities include exploring the gold mining history and the unique historic buildings, trekking through Chiltern Ironbox National Park, rummaging through the antiques and collectable, enjoying the famous Rutherglen wine region, tasting the wonderful local produce, and a relaxing meal in the local restaurants and cafes.
