Located about 100
km south west of Melbourne, on the southern coast of the Bellarine Peninsula, Ocean Grove is a
seaside resort town overlooking the Bass Strait. The town sits on the eastern
bank of the Barwon River, linked to the popular Barwon Heads on the opposite
side of the river by the Barwon Heads Bridge.
The largest town on the
peninsula, Ocean Grove population, dramatically swell during the summer
holidays. With its own sandy beach front extending from the mouth of the Barwon
River heading east to Point Lonsdale, there are plenty of activities from
surfing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and bush walking.
