Some of the local council and shires may also offer maps from their website. Many visitor centres also provide printed maps that you can pick up from their front counter.
 

If you are visiting a national park, the relevant Parks and Wildlife Services will often have simplified maps of the individual national parks available from their parks offices, visitor centre and their websites.

If you are a member of one of the Australian motoring associations, their website provide  ‘journey planner’ or  ‘trip planner’ to calculate distances between your starting point to your destination. Most of the motoring associations offer everyone access to the trip planner functionality, although some may require you be a member of the association.
