The City of Armadale is located just 36 km south east from the centre of Perth and 34 km from Fremantle, offering visitors a great location from which to base yourself to explore not only Armadale, but the surrounding regions of Perth and Fremantle.

A growing modern bustling city, Armadale is nestled amongst scenic parks, undulating hills and picturesque valleys.

Armadale is conveniently located at Perth's major gateway crossroads of Albany and South Western Highways and Armadale Road. There is a direct rail network link from Perth to Armadale.

Armadale Attractions

Armadale Reptile & Wildlife Centre

• The Armadale Reptile Centre houses a large variety of native reptiles (approximately 200 reptiles are housed at the Centre!!) and other wildlife with over 50 different species on display. The Centre provides a great place to learn and identify animals that may be encountered in the bush, homes or backyards; particularly the venomous and non-venomous snakes. The Centre is a great place for visitors to safely observe reptiles and learn how they behave and their habitats. Experience a walk through the finch and skink enclosure.

The Reptile Centre also provides rescues and rehabilitation of all types of wildlife, specialising in reptiles and marsupials.
Araluen Botanic Park

• Located in the Darling Range, the vision of the Araluen Botanic Park is ‘to create a unique world-class botanic park of great natural beauty and tranquility which is accessible to and remembered by all who visit’.

Visitors will find the flowing streams, bush walks to explore, beautiful garden displays, especially during ‘Yates Springtime at Araluen’ when massed plantings of bulbs, annuals and other plants bloom from August right through to October. There are plenty of picnic spots and the Park also offers a perfect venue for a range of other events, including weddings, family gatherings, music, arts and theatre.
