Jerramungup Attractions

Fitzgerald River National Park
• Originally considered ‘worthless’ by the early explorers of the area, the Fitzgerald River National Park is today renowned for its diverse and spectacular scenery and flora containing more than 1,800 species of flowering plants alone, as well as numerous lichens, mosses and fungi. It is even more amazing to consider that this national park covering 329,039 ha, which is only a fraction of the size of the entire state, contains nearly 20 per cent of the total number of plants species in Western Australia and is one of the most diverse botanical regions in the world.

The park is located about 180 km north-east of Albany and a little farther west of Esperance.
