Peaceful Bay - Cities, Towns and Localities
Located in a picturesque spot on the South Coast region of Western Australia is the hamlet of Peaceful Bay. With Denmark just over 45 km to the west and the charming town of Nornalup an even closer 15 km to the east, visitors to the area can enjoy a variety of activities from swimming, fishing, boating, snorkelling and diving. There are also long stretches of sandy beach for the beach lovers. As well as a great spot for walkers, there are four wheel drive tracks providing access to the areas wild and rugged coastline.

Just a short 20 minute drive will take you the Walpole-Nornalup National Park and the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk. The national park is nearly 20,000 hectares of towering karri and tingle forests, as well as coastal heath. The national park and Tree Top Walk is one of the major drawcards for this area. • Part of the Walpole-Nornalup National Park, this popular destination gets its name from the large red tingle trees that grown there. It is the eastern-most occurrence of this type of forest, and only found within 15 km of Walpole. There is a boardwalk through a grove of veteran tingle trees known as the ‘Ancient Empire’, containing the ‘Giant’ from which the forest is named. Some of the trees have a circumference of 16 metres at the base. The ‘Ancient Empire’ boardwalk starts from the Tingle Shelter, the visitor interpretation centre.
