There are war memorials located throughout Australia. Some are grand large places, whilst others are small dedications, but all are monuments to our fallen heroes. Many travellers include a visit to these sites as part of their holiday, so where possible we have provided information and links to them.

• In a three-year preservation project, records of men and women who served with the Australian Army in World War I are preserved in the National Archives, with over 376,000 of these service records now digitised. As a gift to the nation, these records are all available online.

Returned Services League (RSL Clubs)
• The RSL evolved as a direct result of the camaraderie, concern and mateship shown by the "Diggers" for the welfare of their mates during and after the 1914 - 1918 War. That ethos of compassion and service remains today the motivating influence of the League.
